Let’s Talk A Bit About No DVD Patch

Okay, some of you might dl vn from japan by dl from certain forum and install it but whenever you going to play it then pop-up notification with japanese sentences if you don’t know the meaning ~ you could say whatever; well, the point is it says no cd found or mount; why? though you have mount cd image in the daemon tools.

Then I’ll tell you why and mark it as a lesson for you as well if you interested in visual novel world. Some games need a NoDVD patch for NoRegion Check and AlphaROM and some more. I will try to add to each game the NoDVD Patch but you can try this way too. (thanks folks at nyaahetais that gives us access to the tools)

 

AlphaROM:

When a game gives a 1503 error then the game use AlphaROM so you need to patch it.
Some AlphaROM games need to be Activated to.

AlphaROM NoCD:

AlphaROM 2.1-3.1 Rev4
AlphaROM 3.2 rev2

1) Extract the rar in the game folder copy AlphaROM exe to game folder.
2) Run the game and exit it.
3) Copy the AlphaDiscLog.txt to the game folder. The file is under C:AlphaDiscLog.txt when not search for it with windows search.
4) Run the alsignup_current.exe or alsignup_xp.exe or alsignup_vista.exe in the game folder should be now a new file alsign.sig
5) Run the game and enjoy!

New AlphaROM signup tool after 091218:

1) Extract the rar in the game folder copy AlphaROM exe to game folder.
2) Run the game and exit it.
3) Run the alsignup_xxxxxx.exe
4) Run the game and enjoy!

AlphaROM Activation signup tool:

1) Extract the rar in the game folder copy AlphaROM exe to game folder.
2) Run the game.
3) Run the alsignup_act_xxxxxx.exe while the Activation screen is showing.
4) Cancel out of the screens that pop up.
5) Run the game and enjoy!

NoRegion Check:

NoRegion Loader
Use the NoRegion loader to load the game exe.

NTLEA
Use NTLEA 087 to bypass the NoRegion Check.

When you have Windows 7 Ent/Ult then you can install the Japanese MUI.
Install the Japanese MUI over windows update. Or download the Japanese MUI file and install it in regional settings > keyboard language > language install.
Then set timezone to JP and display language to JP and all ohter regional settings to JP.
Then apply and reload the pc.
Now the game should work. I hope it could be useful with this short information that I gave in this post; we will meet again in this page if any updates for way to play japanese vn comfortably.
